Bill Hearne Remembrance
Bill Hearne was a founder of the Oven Door Runners. He was a mentor, a coach, and, above all, a friend. His untimely death in 2009 left a void in the Oven Door Runners. Fortunately, the group had gone beyond one person and was able to continue to thrive and grow. We wanted to leave a lasting memorial to Bill which we did with a bench placed in the Daffodil Meadow, an area in Powdermill Park which has been a core part of our trail runs.
